A graduate of Cornell University with a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies, Dr. Hirsch received her medical degree from SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine. She did her internship at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and her medical residency at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. She continued her study of endocrinology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine as well as Endocrinology and Metabolism. Dr. Hirsch has participated in the American Diabetes Association and the professional education committee of its Long Island Chapter, NY Diabetes Association Clinical Society, American College of Physicians, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology and the North American Menopause Society. She is a past board member of the Nassau Chapter of the American Medical Women's Association. Dr Hirsch also served on the Board of Trustees of the National Council of Women in Medicine. She is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology.

Kenneth S. Hershon, M.D. is a partner and Director of Research at North Shore Diabetes and Endocrine Associate. He is presently the Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and is Board Certified in both Intenal Medicine and Endocrinology. Dr. Hershon currently serves as New York State Chairman of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE). He previously served as a national board member of AACE from 2002-2005. Dr. Hershon graduated from Brown University and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His residency and fellowship wer at Mt. Sinia Hospital and the University of Washington, respectively. His is currently affiliated with Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park and North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset.
Russell L. D'Ambra, M.D., F.A.C.E.

Dr. D'Ambra joined North Shore Diabetes and Endocrine Associates in 1990. After receiving a B.S. in biochemistry at SUNY Binghamton, Dr. D'Ambra went on to obtain his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center. His postgraduate training was as a Resident and the Chief Resident in the Department of Medicine at Kings County Hospital Center, SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn. His fellowship in Endocrinology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in NY followed. Dr. D'Ambra is Board Certified in Internal Medicine as well as Endocrinology. Dr. D'Ambra is an Assistant Attending Physician with the North Shore - Long Island Jewish Health System at L I Jewish in New Hyde Park and Assistant Attending at University Hospital in Manhasset. He has academic appointments as a Clinical Instructor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and LI Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park. Dr. D'Ambra is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologist, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology. In prior years, he was on the Medical Advisory Board of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation Nassau-Suffolk Chapter. Dr. Sachmechi is and associate with North Shore Diabetes and Endocrine Associates. Dr. Sachmechi got his medical degree (CUM Laude) from Israel Technion Medical School, Haifa Israel. He did his residency in the Brooklyn Hospital and was chief resident in the Deparment of Medicine, Fellowship in Endocrinology at King County Hospital Center, SUNY Health Science Center Brooklyn. Dr. Sachmechi is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Endocinology. He is the Cinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Chief of Endocrinolgy at Queens Hospital Center. He is a Fellow of American College of Medicine and A Fellow of American Association of Clinical Endocrinolgy. He is a member of several associations (AMA, AACE, ACP). Dr. Sachemechi has serval publications in the field of Thyroid, Diabetes and Lipid Disorders.
Ronda R. Bloom, M.D., F.A.C.E.

Ronda Bloom joined North Shore Diabetes and Endocrine Associates in 2005. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Bloom received her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Pennsylvania. From there, she moved to New York to attend Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Upon graduation, she completed her Internal Medicine training at Mt. Sinai Hospital and Endocrinology fellowship at New York University. Dr. Bloom is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology. At this time, she is an Attending Physician at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital. Dr. Bloom is a member of the American Diabetes Association and American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
